Responsibilities:
We are looking to hire an experienced AWS Infrastructure engineer to join our IT team to design, develop, and maintain applications. You will be a part of a global data engineering team, spread across the London, Bangalore, and Pune offices, and will play a key role in enabling our data-driven strategy. You will be primarily responsible for developing cost-effective optimum AWS cloud solutions. Due to the collaborative nature of the project, the ideal candidate possesses both strong technical and communication skills.
- Collaborate with the IT team to deploy APIs to AWS
- Understand current infrastructure and stack in order to employ best AWS solutions
- Create different AWS services such as API, RDS instance and Lambda to build a serverless application
- Create reusable, effective, and scalable scripts
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs in the system and develop solutions
- Conducting software analysis, testing, updating, and debugging
- Test and update application so that it can be used on all web browsers
- Ensure data privacy and compliance (GDPR), as well as maintaining data dictionaries for governance purposes
Desired Skills and Experience :
- English language proficiency
- 3+ years of professional experience in core AWS services
- Deep understanding of core AWS services, uses, and AWS architecture best practices
- Proficient in one or more languages from our stack (Java, Python)
- Proficient understanding of AWS services (e.g. S3, EC2, Lambda, Glacier, SNS, EBS, CloudFront, SQS, VPC, Kinesis, and Elastic Beanstalk, etc)
- Experience in Linux/Unix administration
- Able to use a CI/CD pipeline to deploy applications on AWS
- Strong understanding of security best practices (e.g. IAM roles, KMS, etc)
